Social Impact Activities
A core tenant of global citizenship is preparing all members of society to engage actively and successfully with a globalized world. We carry out projects with marginalized communities in order to facilitate this engagement.
Here are some examples of our activities:
The MF - Mañiuco School Collaboration
This partnership enables mutual intercultural exchange and global education between Melton Senior Fellows and members of the Mañiuco School, a low-income, rural school in the Mapuche territory of Southern Chile.
The MF - Qu County School Social Service Project
Melton Fellows provide educational and material support to the area’s only primary school. The project also brought the school’s children to Zhejiang University for a “mini-symposium” so they could gain exposure to a wider world of opportunity.
