Upon receiving approval for a grant, the applicant must sign a statement binding him/her to the specific deliverables and stated impact laid out in the final application. This signed statement and the application become a contract between the Melton Foundation and the grantee.
The grantee, or if it as group, the project leader, must sign and return by fax, mail or scanned attachment the original, signed contract to the Foundation for co-signature by the MF Executive or Program Director.
Upon receipt of the signed grant contract, the MF will process the initial payment (contingent on any pending deliverables stated in the contract) to the grantee. Subsequent increments will be paid only upon receipt of the deliverables per the contract.
